The investment that you are making in your business is a huge deal and we do not take this lightly.

We here at DePikt Design strive to create an experience that is enlightening, encouraging, smooth and without surprises (unless that are unexpected “wow”s!). In order to create this type of experience, we have to be on the same page. Here I will share some of our tools that we will be using throughout this project, some info on how we run our projects and our business, as well as what to expect from us and how we are going to assist you every step of the way.

We cannot stress enough the importance of communication throughout our projects! Each projects is influenced by YOU, so we need a lot of input and feedback from you as we create and develop the perfect design.

With each branding and website design project, comes homework. No one usually enjoys homework, but completing this fully and in a timely manner is essential to the success of our project.

We love to be available to our clients throughout the entirety of each project via any and every platform that the client is comfortable with using (phone, email, text, etc.). But, just as any other business, we have a set schedule and business hours during which we are able to really invest our time with you. Although you may message us (via email or through our project management program(s) that are in place) at any time that you are available, you should only expect a reply from us during our business hours.

Business hours are as follows:

Monday - 8:30am to 2:30pm

Tuesday - varies

Wednesday - 8:30am to 3:30pm

Thursday - varies

Friday - 8:30am to 2:30pm

Yes, we you may get a response from us outside of these hours, but those responses are just added bonuses. ;)

Each project here at DePikt Design is a collaboration between the client and the designer. In order to be able to design effectively for each client, we need to be working closely with them. We need to be able to fully understand their goals, ideas, likes and dislikes. Each project is unique, just as each client is.

If a client fails to do their part in the collaboration, their project will be subject to being declared “dormant”. A dormant project will be dropped from our job list and will no longer be active.
In order to reactive the project, a reinstatement fee will need to be paid. You can read more about this in your contract.

If at any moment during your project you feel that we are not doing our part. Please let us know! We are always striving to do better and meet every need our clients may have.

In effort to be organized, user-friendly and to use our time wisely throughout each project, we utilize a number of different tools.

Those tools include…

Email
This is a familiar way of inquiring about our services, sending quotes, proposals, contracts and files.

Dropbox
All of our files are saved in Dropbox. When a file is too large to attach to an email, we will send you a link to access your file(s) via Dropbox.
During Web Design projects, we set up a shared folder between us and the client. There we can access and share the same files that will be needed throughout the project. (We also will create a subfolder for each category of files that will be required for your website to help keep us organized and on track)

Dropbox Paper
This is still in the trial period, but since we are already using Dropbox, why not try to utilize another one of their services for project management?
With Paper, we can both access the same live and growing document that will hold our to-do lists, timeline, questions, comments and more. This is the core of our project communication.

PayPal
We currently use PayPal for all of our invoicing and payment processing.

Our Website
Our own website has been a helpful tool by allowing you to fill out questionnaires and submit them with ease. As well as viewing essential information such as this very page here.

The project timeline is the heartbeat of each project. It sets a guideline that allows us to work smarter and to know what to expect and what to strive for each step of the way.

The timeline is just as much for each client as it is for the designer. As the designer, we use it to keep on track during the development of the project. We manage more than one project and client at a time and it can get pretty hectic, if we let it. But knowing the timeline goals for each active projects helps us to manage each with precision and ease.

The timeline is also for the client. It should help them to know the importance for feedback in a timely manner, of doing their “homework” in time and providing us with the appropriate files and assets that are required for the project before the due date.

If everyone works together an follows the timeline and tasks, the process and the project will be breathtaking!

What if I don’t like it?

Then we toss it all out and start over! We will not stop until your project is perfect. If we are heading in the wrong direction, we will do a complete 180 and head the other direction with your project. Although, the exploration process (ie: questionnaires, meeting, etc) usually gives us the direction that we need to go, I suppose there is a possibility that we could miss the mark. And if we do, we will make it right.

Who gets the rights to my files once the project is complete?

You do. We only reserve the right to freshen up our portfolio with your project by sharing it on our website and social media. You have the rights to all that we design for you to do with as you please.

Do you provide website maintenance/update services?

Yes we do. Although we strive to create websites that are simple to maintain and update as your business grows and develops, we also know that sometimes business owners and leaders have way too much on their plate already. We are always willing to help out! Just ask.

What other services do you provide?

At DePikt Design, we specialize in visual branding design, marketing designs and website design. We also provide a print service to our established clients and can design “outside our box” as well.

Now what?

Depending on the nature of your particular project, you may have already received your quote, proposal and/or contract. If so, please make sure that those are signed and returned as soon as possible. If you haven’t received them yet, no worries! They are coming. ;)
